I play bass. I do it for fun. I do it for pay. If you have a project in need of low-end, give me a holler. Email's best.
In 2002, some friends were talking about starting a punk band called Johnny Monoxide. I asked "Can I play bass?" They said "Sure. We didn't know you played bass." I said, "I don't. It's punk - how hard could it be?" The band didn't last, but the bass playing did.
Lately, I've been playing with:
- Tim Blane - Singer/songwriter I've been playing with for the past couple years. We've done over 200 shows, and you can hear the new single on 92.9 WBOS in Boston. Hit the gigs page for a theater near you.
- Laura Vecchione - Singer/songwriter in the Boston area who's doing some big things. She's on a radio tour in Tejas right now. I recorded a promo spot with her for George Knight on WBOS.
- Men in Black - Boston-area wedding band. I filled in for them on short notice - I learned 40+ songs in 3 days. I'm rather proud of that.
- Lindsey + Adam - This was a side project that the singer from The Homesteaders and I have done off-and-on. It's just bass and voice, and it's a fun opportunity to stretch, since it requires me to work both ends of the bass at once. She and I also write really well together - check out "Choose Me."
- Shayne Holland - His record has been done for a while, but I play in his live band. Strictly a hired gun. It's not like a "band thing," where there's all group decision-making, etc. Play the date, cop the bread, go home.
- Rebecca Loebe - I played on her album Hey, It's A Lonely World. She performs solo though, so this was pretty much just a session thing. That said, I'm playing on her CD release party. News flash - Becca's record Hey, It's A Lonely World is currently getting airplay in Wilmington, NC!
- The Homesteaders - Blues-funk-soul band we put together last year. Just broke up. To listen, I would check out this page. I wrote most of the originals except "I belong" (lindsey), "If You See Me"(bry), and "Devil's Playground" (bry)
- No Woman No Cry - My buddy Wes recorded a folksy version of the song for a project at Berklee. He asked me to lay down some harp, so I done it.
